Great race coverage coming from Crow Village

There are lots of sites out there covering the Iditarod. But there’s one site we’d like to recommend to everyone looking for thoughtful race analysis from a long-time race fan. For example, here’s a little insight from a recent post:

In 1978, Dick Mackey was running his 6th Iditarod race. He drew bib number 13. Dick went on to win that race. 5 years later, Dick’s son Rick was running his 6th Iditarod race. Oddly enough, he drew bib number 13 as well. Rick would win that race. Now 24 years later, Dick’s other son Lance is running his 6th Iditarod.

To finish that little story and for more analysis with a solid historical perspective, be sure to check out the Crow Village Iditarod Blog.

For the record, there’s no relationship between this site and the Crow Village site. It’s just good, and we wanted to share. And if you’ve got a site where you’re covering the race, be sure to drop us a line in the comments or call us at 907-550-8418.
